MOTEK 2012
Visit us at the international trade fair for assembling and handling technology Motek from 8th - 11th October 2012 at the new trade fair centre in Stuttgart at our booth 1670 in hall 1.

Apprentices 2011

We are happy to welcome new apprentices in 2011 (industrial mechanic, student). We wish them all the best for their vocational training.

New Milling Center HERMLE C30

In order to meet the increasing needs of machining steel, we upgraded our machinery with the milling center HERMLE C30.

New Milling Center BROTHER

With the new milling center BROTHER TC-32BN QT we increase our capacity; especially for serial parts.

New CNC Lathe

Recently we got a new CNC lathe (CMZ TC30Y) with y-axis and driven tool. Beside the increasing output we enriched the possible variety of parts.

MINITRANS® XS complements the MINITRANS®-Series

The new Minitrans® XS is characterised by a compact and very flat design. With a maximum conveyor height of 12 mm (excluding the motor) it is ideal for conveyance with little space. The weight optimised base body renders interesting solutions for mobile applications. As the whole Minitrans®-Series the XS is modular. Thus you can easily choose different lengths and widths. Various options complete your own conveyor. And if you finally have any special whishes just feel free to contact us.

Climate protection on the roof of IWB
At the end of 2008 we started-up our new thin film solar panels on the roof of IWB Gotha. The generation of solar electricity is our contribution to the climate protection. The solar plant has an output of 115 kWp. Round about 350 t of CO2 will be saved each year. We are proud to be the biggest solar electricity producer in Gotha at this moment.

Social commitment at IWB
As the years before IWB supports sportsmen and clubs. In addition to our longtime involvement for the kickers of ESV Lokomotive e. V. Neudietendorf we supported the multiple Thüringen-Champion in Enduro reliability race (free translation, the author) as well as German Champion and runner-up in motorcycle biathlon Olaf Nossmann (picture). A good tradition is also to donate the revenue of the Christmas tombola to the Erfurt Albert-Schweitzer-Kinderdorf.

Enlargement of our portfolio
Since 1 st of June 2009 we are regional sales partner of IEF Werner GmbH for the area of Thuringia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Berlin/Brandenburg. Thus we are able to improve considerably the support of our customers. Among others, our portfolio will be enlarged by the following products:

New 5-sxis machining centre 3 x 1.5 m
Since January 2008 we are producing milled parts up to 3000 x 1500 x 800 mm³ with our new 5-axis machining centre HURON KX50L. With this cnc-machine in combination with our efficient CAD/CAM-system (Mastercam) we have the ability to provide our costumers even large aluminium parts (18000 rpm) at favourable conditions.

Quiet Conveyor
At the 26th international trade fair for assembly and handling technology MOTEK in Stuttgart for the first time the IWB showed a conveyor belt especially developed for work environments requiring a very low noise level. On request it could meet FDA standards or will be designed with a knife edge (for parts starting at 7 mm). The modular design of the belt conveyor offers widths of belts from 80 mm up to 250 mm, lengths from 300 mm to 2000 mm and max. load up to 5 kg.

We would like to thank all our costumers and suppliers for the interesting discussions at our booth.
